Final update and summary:
Between 06:00 and 10:18 UTC this morning, the TinQwise platform experienced degraded performance.
The incident correlated with a routine database backup that started at 06:00 UTC. It ran longer than expected and blocked us from upgrading database capacity. We increased the database capacity as soon as the backup was done, but the slowdown returned shortly after.
Further investigation pointed out that Automations were much slower than usual. This was caused by a non-optimal execution of Automations within our database. We forced the database to re-analyse the fastest execution paths. After that the system chose the better and efficient path to handle requests again, and performance returned to normal.
We’re adding safeguards to detect this earlier next time.
Our apologies for any inconvenience this has caused and we thank you for your patience.
The issue was resolved at 12:18, and platform performance has returned to normal.
Our team will continue to monitor closely to ensure stability.
Thank you for your patience and understanding during this disruption.
Performance recovery actions have been implemented.
We are closely monitoring the fix to ensure that everything returns to normal.
We have increased platform capacity, but this has not resolved the issue.
Our team is continuing the investigation to determine the root cause and restore normal performance.
We’ll share another update as soon as we have more information.
We are still seeing performance issues on TinQwise platforms. The issue has been identified and the team is continuing work on a fix.
Further updates will follow as soon as we make progress.
A fix has been applied and performance is beginning to improve. We are closely monitoring the systems to ensure stability.
We’re aware that TinQwise platforms are currently slower than normal. Our team is investigating the cause and working to restore normal performance as quickly as possible.
